Our 3rd Staycation!!!!
Our last one was to stay in my Aunt and Unlce's new beach house in Depoe Bay. We decided to celebrate our 5 year anniversary early (It's friday wahoo!). And my mom, generously, kept the kids for a night, so we could go to the beach by ourselves. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN! We took naps, talked forever, went out to really good chinese food, saw a movie, slept in, ate breakfast INFRONT OF THE TV! (one of things I miss from before having kids) and went on a walk! It was great. And then my mom brought the kids to the house and we all had a great rest of the weekend at the beach! It was even warm enough at the beach to sit and play for a few hours!

Jesus and Spaghetti
So last week, at Dox Kids, I told the story of Jesus feeding 5,000. When I got to the part about having enough food, even having leftovers, I explained what leftovers were. I said "you know when your mom makes spaghetti for dinner, and she makes so much that you have to eat it again for lunch the next day? Those are leftovers"
Anyways, today Grace asked me if I was making enough cookies for 5,000 people. (I wasn't) and I asked her where she heard about 5,000 people. She said "the story about Jesus feeding them". To which I said "and what did you learn about Jesus from that story?" (correct answer - that Jesus will provide us all that we need.) Grace answer; "When you're hungry Jesus will feed you leftover spaghetti"

Wedding Job!
So I'm still catching up on the summer so far, blogging wise. This is a little documentation of my first ever wedding/baking gig! I baked 250 cupcakes for my good friends, sister in law's wedding. I started with scallopped fondant pieces......Lots of them
Her theme was monograms
This is 250 cupcakes baked, and ready to be frosted. Devils' food chocolate, and Chai Tea Latte.
And I just had to post this. This power of your hubby taking the kids for a whole afternoon. THIS is what my kitchen looked like after baking that many cupcakes. NOT typical!

A cold July day at the beach
So I am trying to catch up blogging. This post is from early July? We went to the beach with the Saemens- so fun. I don't know if any of you fellow bloggers are like me, but because of blogging whenever we go and do something fun, memorable, or spontaneous, or we have a special family event or moment- I think in blogging! I think in captions to my future post on that particular event or day! However- when I don't post for two or three months I tend to forget all those cute anecdotes that were once in my head! So for now just pictures!
It was a cold July Day at the Oregon Coast!
